MOTHER A Women’s Sharing Circle
For the ones who mother in ways seen and unseen. For the ones who hold, nurture, guide, and grieve. For the mothers doing it all, those with grown up children, new and expectant mothers, stepmothers, single mothers, longing mothers, and mothers of children no longer in their arms. For the ones who carry the weight of love in all its forms.
This is a space to be held, be heard, and be witnessed - without expectation, without explanation. A space where your story, your experience, and your heart are welcome, just as they are.
Come as you are. Bring what you carry in your heart. Together, we will share, soften, and remember: mothering is not just a role - it is a presence, a love, a deep and quiet strength.
You belong here.
The circle will flow as below:
OPENING - an introduction from me, settling down, getting comfortable in our space
CONNECTING - you will share briefly how you are arriving
COMMITMENT - sharing of guidelines on what it means to sit in circle and we will light our candles
GROUNDING - a short grounding meditation to allow you to leave the day behind and be present with each other
SHARING - a prompt will be shared and circle will be open for voices to be shared and heard
REST + REIKI - let the reiki energy wash over you as I guide you into a gentle savasana (deep relaxation while lying down) to end our circle
All you will need is yourself and to make yourself cosy, wear clothes you can sit in. Fluffy socks optional but always welcome. There will be mats but please feel free to bring blankets, cushions or anything else you need to be comfortable as we will be sitting on the floor. If this is not accessible to you, I can provide a chair for you to sit on.
For those that may be unsure about sharing, please be reassured that participation is optional. It is a sacred and confidential space, there will be no advice giving, only deep listening and compassion.
"When a woman tells the truth, she is creating the possibility for more truth around her" - adrienne rich (poet)
If you are new to circle, please feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting you.
